DESCRIPTION:Every year\, thousands of VFW and Auxiliary delegates gather to represent the organization’s more than 1.5 combined membership at the weeklong VFW National Convention. While there\, our mission is to approve new national priorities to guide our organization as we lobby Congress on issues important to the nation’s veterans\, service members and their families. \nConvention delegates also elect new leadership\, as well as recognize prominent individuals and organizations for their support of veterans and military personnel. \nThe 124th VFW National Convention will be held July 22-27\, 2023\, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix\, Arizona. \nPhoenix’s perpetual sunshine might tempt you to find a secluded resort and spend all your days sipping margaritas next to the swimming pool. Don’t give in. From serene desert gardens and one-of-a-kind museums\, to award-winning dining and more: Make sure to take time to enjoy everything Phoenix has to offer. Visit Phoenix offers ideas and shows you how to explore Phoenix during your free time. \nWith a long list of elected representatives\, special guest speakers and award recipients\, convention attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leaders of the military and veteran communities. \nThe VFW will NOT be hosting on-site church services this year. For those interested in attending local services\, here are some resources available to help you locate a church of your choice in Phoenix.
