Texas A&M University-Kingsville Veterans Upward Bound Program

Program Description

Texas A&M University-Kingsville Veterans Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO grant program from the U.S Department of Education. This selective program will provide critical support services to 125 eligible Veterans Upward Bound participants. TAMUK VUB is designed to assist in developing the academic skills they may need to be accepted to and succeed in obtaining a postsecondary education. The program provides assessment and enhancement of basic skills through counseling, mentoring, tutoring and academic instruction in core subject areas.  The primary goal of this program is to increase the rate at which participants enroll in and complete postsecondary education programs.
