VFW Roy E. Davis Post 2375 is proud to present a Kleberg County Honor Guard Training and Certification program, designed to support and strengthen the tradition of honoring our nation’s veterans with dignity and respect.
This training is open to the public and provides hands-on instruction for those interested in participating in military funeral honors, ceremonial details, and community events.

Who Should Attend
Certification is available for individuals interested in serving in Honor Guard and ceremonial roles, including:
- Active Duty Personnel
- Military Veterans
- Spouses of Veterans
- Children of Veterans
- ROTC and JROTC Personnel
Whether you are experienced or new to Honor Guard participation, this training will provide valuable instruction and certification.
What to Wear
Participants are encouraged to:
- Wear comfortable clothing suitable for light movement and practice
- Bring a military or veteran-affiliated cap/cover if available
About the Training
This session will cover essential Honor Guard duties, including:
- Proper ceremonial procedures
- Formation and movement techniques
- Respectful handling of honors during memorial services
- Team coordination and professionalism
Participants will leave with a better understanding of Honor Guard responsibilities and the skills needed to perform them with precision and respect.
