This morning at the VFW National Convention in Columbus, OH, the delegates elected Carol Whitmore as the 117th Commander-in-Chief. Whitmore is the first woman elected to lead our great organization. She is a proud Army Veteran of 36 years, serving in Iraq as a First Sergeant, where she earned her VFW eligibility. We congratulate Comrade Whitmore on this achievement and look forward to continue to serve along side her and all our fellow Veterans.
